
Chad Primmer - Attorney![]() Chad Primmer is an experienced attorney who gets to know each of his clients on a personal level so that he can better represent their legal interests. Chad believes in giving his free time to community and professional organizations, as well. At the age of 22, Chad was the youngest person ever elected to the Council Bluffs City Council, and is currently involved in a variety of professional, civic and service groups in Council Bluffs and across the state. Chad has served as a member of the Board of Directors for several groups including the Iowa Association for Justice and the Council Bluffs YMCA. He recently served on the Magistrate Reappointment Committee at the request of Chief Judge Robert Pratt for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa. Chad has extenstive trial and appellate experience at the state and federal level. Having tried numerous cases to verdict, Chad has won jury trials at every level. He has submitted and argued cases before the Iowa Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Chad served as lead counsel to Curtis McGhee in setting aside his 25 year-old murder conviction in 2003 and was instrumental in negotiating the commutation of Dixie Shanahan Duty's sentence ordered by Governor Thomas J. Vilsack in 2006. Chad has also obtained sizable resolutions to personal injury and workers compensation claims as well as enjoyed success in family court. Chad is a graduate of Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs, the University of Northern Iowa and Creighton University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Iowa, Nebraska, Federal Court in the US District Court for the District of Nebraska, the US District Court for the Northern District of Iowa, the US District Court for the Southern District of Iowa and the United States Supreme Court. Chad believes in keeping on the cutting edge of developments in the law having recently attended continuing legal education seminars in locations across the United States including Denver, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Doug Struyk - Associate Attorney![]() Doug Struk is a graduate of St. Albert High School, Iowa State University, and the Creighton University School of Law. Doug is married to Jill Stroebele Struyk and they have one daughter, Elizabeth, who attends St. Albert in Council Bluffs. Doug recently retired from the Iowa House of Representatives after spending eight years representing Council Bluffs at the Statehouse. Doug is engaged in the general practice of law including, but not necessarily limited to, real estate, wills, trusts and estates, and personal injury. Mandy L. Whiddon - Associate Attorney![]() Mandy L. Whiddon moved to the area from Montana to attend Creighton University School of Law. When she finished she decided to stay and raise her daughter here. In her free time, Mandy volunteers at her daughter's school, coaches soccer and t-ball, and plays tennis. She is also involved with Race for the Cure. She is a graduate of Creighton University School of Law and is looking forward to developing a busy general practice, including but not limited to, criminal, family and personal injury law.
